Details of my work! (WIP)
Before commissioning I highly recomend checking out this section. It's full of information about how my suits are made and what materials I usually use and work with so you know what to expect from my work.
Materials are subject to change depending on a project or commissioners preferences!
General info
This page is recommended to be viewed on a computer screen rather than mobile phone and such.
If you have any questions that were not answered here feel free to contact me! I like to try new stuff out if it's within my possibilities.
Seams:
My fursuits are mostly handsewn with occasional machine sewing, depending on the size or needed details.
For handsewing I use a sturdy thread and blanket stitch to keep it nice and neat.
Machine sewn parts are always double stitched, sometimes with zigzag stitch on top (depends on what part it is).
Materials:
I always try to use the highest quality available. I mostly use faux furs from Efutro, Howl fabrics and BigZ Fabrics and ocasionally other sources.
Keep in mind that not all colors are available in materials! Though I always try to get the closest match possible and/or help to come up with a good looking alternative palette.
Notice:
All my projects are handmade from scratch and even the same species might turn out a bit different each time!
Keep in mind that fursuits are fully handmade and there may be occasional imperfections, errors or symmetry issues. I always try to make the best finished product I'm able to!
On this page you can find info about:
- Heads
- Handpaws
- Tails
All about the heads!
Head bases:
I currently only offer hand-carved foam bases. Each suit has its own custom made. Sometimes I use EVA foam to make the ears more stable.
Lining:
I always line the head using neoprene or lycra and necks are left unlined (neck lining can be requested tho!).
Mouth is usually lined with antipilling fleece but other material like minky are also possible.
Do you wear glasses?
Eyes:
I offer both 3D/follow me and 2D/flat eyes!
What's the difference? 3D eyes allow for the "Follow me" illusion - eyes follow the camera/person, 2D eyes stay flat and focused in one direction
My eyes are hand painted on a fabric mesh with mostly blacked out back side (it's way easier to see through the mesh thanks to that).
Eyelids:
Eyelids allow for a huge scale of expressions!
They stay attached with strong neodymium magnets and are easy to swap around.
Keep in mind that these can lower the vision from the suit. I personally recommend only wearing them for photos.
Tongues:
Every suit comes with at least two! One that fits in the mouth and one longer for the "blep" look. As an add on I also offer a "lick" tongue (with magnets - one in the tongue, one installed in the muzzle).
Tongues are attached in the mouth with velcro, I don't offer tongues that are sewn in or magnetic.
Teeth:
Handpaws
Four or five fingers?
Well I offer both! The choice is up to you.
- 4 fingers: my own pattern, more animal like style of paws
- 5 fingers: I use bought patterns for these (Kloofsuits), bit more on the anthro/humanoid side and more dexterous
I am also able to create new patterns for your paws! I am able to make hooves and other types than "paws", I just don't have any examples as of now.
Pawpads and claws!
Usually I make both from minky or mochi minky. Both come in a variety of colors and are super soft and cuddly. Upon request I can use different materials like metallic spandex or faux leather.
Pawpads and claws are machine sewn and stuffed with polyfill.
Lining
I make lined handpaws as a standard. Unlined paws are also possible tho!
I line my paws with lycra - it comes in many patterns and colours! I love to match the characters with the patterns and such. Lycra would be also used for finger pillows if unlined paws are requested.
Cuffs
What are cuffs? It's basically the nice finish at the writs! I use minky for this part, usually matching the colors of the fur or overall the color combination.
Finger slits:
Very useful add on that I started offering recently! Allows you to suit up easier by yourself and you can use your phone while suiting without the need to take off your paws.
These are currently only available for 4 fingered paws. I am willing to experiment with these for 5 fingered paws though.
Tails!
Tails are usually made with the hidden belt loop method, shorter tails usually have basic straps.
- Tails with hidden belt loops: stay nicely connected to the wearer's body and allow for a very nice waggy motion. These tails have a EVA foam base with a bit of basic foam to help the shape and movement.
- Small tails usually have belt loops on the tail base and are only stuffed.
→ Every project is different and neither of these methods might be used!
Bigger tails can have an additional zipper so the stuffing can be removed for easier washing.
For fullsuit commissions the tail can be attached with a zipper or sewn in on the body (with zipper to remove the stuffing) and one matching separated tail for partialing can be made!
For smaller tails I usually recommend having two tails - one attached to the body and one for partialling! That way you don't need to wear a belt at all while fullsuiting.
Gore cut base: optional detail located at the base of the tail, this is not visible when the tail is worn, any colors of "meat" are possible, made from minky or mochi minky
Feetpaws!
Paws build on shoe: can have either outdoor or finished indoor bottoms! These paws are more comfy for fursuiting outside and longer suiting in general. Indoor bottoms can be covered with cute fursuit sandals to keep the pawpads clean!
Bodysuits! (WIP)
Bodysuit can be either plantigrade or digitigrade with padded legs!
